We caught up with owner and founder, Sowania Claudie, and asked her some questions about what makes her practice so successful.

List the services you provide

We offer Individual ,Family and Couples Counseling to Mothers and their partners for postpartum depression, anxiety .

Out of all of the services that you offer, what would you say is your specialty?

Perinatal Metal Health Counseling-Specifically around Trauma and Birth Trauma. Sowania Germain ,LMHC is EMDR Trained and can conduct sessions in person or virtually.

What inspired you to start this business?

As a clinician of color, I was inspired by my own experiences of birth trauma in the hospital. It was the most difficult experience I had in my life. Although I had the support of my husband and a close family/friends , I feel as though I lacked the emotional support and advocacy needed at the time.

since 2015

What keeps you going every day?

Witnessing the journey of growth and true healing of my patients.

What's your favorite part about your practice?

I enjoy having the opportunity to meet new clients and support them through their healing journey. It's a honor to be apart of the process. The first steps are difficult ; however being present to the process of healing and growth give me so much joy.

What makes your practice unique?

I take a holistic approach. I enjoy integrating the care of other practitioners within my network such as accupuncturist and Nutrionist to guide the patient in accomplishing their overall goals of attaining a life of balance and overall wellness. I empathize in integrating care and collaboration amongst other providers .

What is the best compliment you received about your business?

My authenticity and compassion for my clients is shown through the hard work and dedication I put forth daily.

What is one thing you would like us to know about your business?

I am available for free 15 min consultations.
