Great information on homebirths. For myself having 2 hospital location births and my sisters having homebirths this course was clear and concise on all of the information Jenn shares in this course. I love learning and especially with something I have yet to experience myself.
Supporting a Home Birth

This Homebirth Workshop got me to try to envision what type of supports and birth planning that I would help the birther with if I was helping a client at a home birth. Jenn, I really liked your home birth water birth pictures. I am open to the possibility of helping at a home birth if a client so choses to request my help and states what they want me to help them with at the home birth and I feel that it is a compatible situation that I offer emotional, physical and practical supports for. In general, the idea of participating in a home birth in the hospital or at home intrigues me if I feel it is going to be a good choice me, the birther, the participating doctors and I agree that it could offer a particular client a likely safe, pleasant and positively memorable outcome.

Concise and informative

I loved the format of this course. Besides being truly informative (and Jenn’s voice being very calming), it was broken up into very ‘easy to digest’ sections and videos. I loved the information about preparing the space for birth and postpartum. It was such practical but for me, non-intuitive information. The handouts are clear and aesthetically pleasing, and I will certainly be downloading all of them in preparation for subsequent planned home births. I would also direct any other birthing people interested in exploring home birth, to this course. Thank you as always, to the Birth and Beyond team!
