Out of all of the services you provide, what would you say is your specialty? QUALITY care and education. We are a play-based school program with a focus on social-emotional competence. Why? Children learn best when they are in a safe, loving and fun environment. What inspired you to start this practice? After 8 years of being a childcare center director I decided it was time to open my own center with my own core values. I love what I do and children (and their parents) deserve an amazing, trustworthy place to leave their kids! How long have you been in this business? 10 years What keeps you going every day? Laughter and feeling inspired by small moments that feel good. What is your favorite part about your business? I love that there are so many aspects to enjoy within the scope of my work. I get to hug babies and play with kids. I get to know families and their stories. I get to coach my staff and help them to feel inspired to do great things. I have such a great job. What is one thing you would like us to know about your practice? That Paper Planes is not just any childcare setting. It's one of a kind. Not only will we love and teach your children, but we will love and support the parents too! What is the best compliment you've received about your services? That it just feels different. I know what they (parents and staff) mean by that. They feel the warmth and joy that exists within these walls. We worked so hard on culture and make sure that when people walk in they feel comfortable, supported and respected. Here, we are family. What makes your business unique? Continuity of care! We see the importance and the benefit of children having as much stability as possible! Children who begin as infants and young toddlers get assigned a caregiver and they stay with that caregiver until preschool (36 months or 2.9 months). Do you have any special announcements that you want to share with the community? Yes! We will be collaborating with Birth and Beyond Resources to bring amazing workshops to the community!
