Tell us a little bit about your background.
Hi I'm Samantha 😁 I'm a mom of two energetic boys that keep things exciting. We love exploring outdoors and going on adventures. I stay home with them and I couldn’t ask for a better blessing. I love meeting people, always loved to help where I can. I used to work in a nursing home as a CNA with dementia residents and before becoming a mom that was the most rewarding job for me.
What do you do for a living, if applicable?
I stay home with my boys. I'm a childbirth educator and birth and postpartum doula.
What did you used to do, if applicable?
I worked everywhere lol, best part of retail was meeting new people and connecting (worked at Borders book store, best retail job!) I then went into the medical field as a CNA and worked in a nursing home with dementia residents, particularly the fighters. I loved it!
What is something that you've always wanted to do?
I've always wanted to travel and become a birth worker. Checking them off my list is exciting!
Do you have kids?
I have 2 earthside babies, 4 and 7 years old (I know not so little anymore 😭) and one angel baby.
What are some of your talents?
I love to get creative and artsy. Always down to whip the paints out with the kids and get messy lol
What are your interests?
Hmm.. I have a lot, I love to learn so everything interests me. If I can learn more on anything I'm down.
What made you want to become a MamaMoon Volunteer?
I want to help women in their postpartum period. I struggled greatly during mine and don't wish that on anyone, I remember feeling so alone and just wanting someone like minded, caring and easy going to just sit with me and talk. Didn't have to be about in-depth things, baby related, or world issues. Just wanted to talk to someone and feel heard and seen. So hearing about a program specifically for that I was sold lol 😁
